Now Supporting IBM z15-8562 (T02)
Top Gun is pleased to announce it can now support the IBM z15-8562 (T02) mainframe and has become the first independent support company in the global marketplace to support this platform. First announced on September 12, 2019, IBM positioned the z15 as, “The enterprise platform for mission critical hybrid multi-cloud, with new innovations across security, data privacy and resilience.” Further, Top Gun is on schedule to launch support for the IBM-8561 (T01) in Q2 of 2023. At this time, Top Gun’s engineering team is thoroughly reviewing a complete 8561 system, on the floor of its R&D Facility in Prior Lake.
Combining IBM z15-8562 mainframe maintenance solutions with Top Gun’s mainframe software products consultation or its z/OS software support (z/OS, z/VM, z/VSE, Linux for IBM Z, DB2, CICS, DB/DC and MQSeries) can further supplement your IT efficiencies objectives. Top Gun can support your mission critical IBM z15 environments long past OEM EOSL announcements and for as long as you choose, while optimizing your Operating and Capital budgets.
Top Gun is also a global leader in buying/selling pre-owned and refurbished (certified and banded) IBM Z mainframe hardware – whole systems, upgrades and parts. The purchase of any IBM Z systems from Top Gun will include “bundled” maintenance solutions agreements.
IBM Z Call Home
Top Gun has developed a proprietary call home tool. As part of the onboarding process, we will set up the existing HMCs to send alerts to Top Gun. Details provided by the alerts include:
- Client Name and Location
- Machine type, model number, and serial number
- Error information with FRU level details
- Part number, part location, FRU probability
