The Top Gun Technology Training School offers rigorous hands-on lab and classroom training for zSeries, pSeries, IBM storage products, connectivity products and controllers. If you wish to grow the expertise of your technical staff or engineering team in any or all of the previously mentioned areas, our maintenance training can be a big help.
Platforms training includes IBM processors, IBM storage, IBM peripherals and IBM connectivity - from entry to technical levels. Each course level is designed to allow cost-effective and improved break/fix and operational knowledge during trouble-shooting and daily operations.
Although the lower level courses are designed as pre-requisites for the higher course, students may skip a lower level by having an interview with the instructor prior to scheduling for a higher level course.
Our program, as previously mentioned, is made up of three levels. Level 1 training is for technical staff or break/fix engineers that have elementary knowledge of zSeries processors and a minimal amount of hands-on experience. Level 2 training is for those that have some break/fix experience (at least one year of experience) and an understanding of the mainframe in its relation to the data center. Level 3 training is for those that have at least 3 years of experience in break/fix maintenance on zSeries mainframes.

Our pSeries training program is also made up of three levels. Level 1 training is for technical staff or break/fix engineers that have elementary knowledge of pSeries processors and a minimal amount of hands-on experience. Level 2 training is for those that have some break/fix experience (at least one year of experience) and an understanding of the distributed processor in its relation to the data center. Level 3 training is for those that have at least 3 years of experience in break/fix maintenance on pSeries processors.
Our IBM Tape Storage training program is made up of two levels. Level 2 training is for those that have some break/fix experience (at least one year of experience) and an understanding of the IBM tape products in relation to the data center. Level 3 training is for those that have at least 3 years of experience in break/fix maintenance on IBM tape products.
Our IBM Disk Storage training program is made up of two levels. Level 2 training is for those that have some break/fix experience (at least one year of experience) and an understanding of the IBM disk products in relation to the data center. Level 3 training is for those that have at least 3 years of experience in break/fix maintenance on IBM disk products.
Our IBM Connectivity and Controller training program is made up of two levels. Level 2 training is for those that have some break/fix experience (at least one year of experience) and an understanding of IBM connectivity products and controllers in relation to the data center. Level 3 training is for those that have at least 3 years of experience in break/fix maintenance on IBM connectivity products and controller products.
